NanoPlume is developing a super-insulating Bio-Aerogel and a scalable manufacturing process.

Our mission is to make space-age insulation material accessible to the built environment and other industries to maximise energy efficiency, space efficiency, and circularity.

HIGH PERFORMING

NanoPlume's Bio-Aerogel is lightweight and highly thermally insulating. Therefore, only a fraction of the material thickness is required to achieve the same energy efficiency compared to other common insulating materials, e.g., mineral wool.

BIO-BASED

At NanoPlume, we are dedicated to a circular economy, producing biodegradable aerogels that are strong, reusable, and recyclable. Utilising recycled biopolymers, such as cellulose, and natural feedstocks, our materials help reduce energy consumption across industries. Additionally, we have significantly reduced the embodied energy of our materials, supporting sustainable practices.

COST EFFECTIVE

NanoPlume is reducing the costs of the material and manufacturing process by 75%. On top of this, implementing NanoPlume's aerogel leads to significant cost savings over the product lifetime from increased energy and space efficiency.
